Find your crew for the trip

Find a trip, click "Request to join" and wait for the organiser's approval. Once approved you land in the group chat where the crew sorts out details. You can also message the organiser privately first via "Ask the organiser".

A few simple rules: 1. Check the organiser's and participants' profiles - post-trip ratings, history and time on TripBuddy. 2. Talk before you join - on the group chat or via "Ask the organiser"; ask about the plan, accommodation and costs. A short video call before the trip is a great way to meet face to face. 3. Keep arrangements inside the app - the plan, route, checklist and costs are all in one place, which makes inconsistencies easy to spot. 4. Settle money in the costs module and review the expenses people add. TripBuddy does not process payments - never transfer "deposits" outside clear crew arrangements. 5. Make the first meeting in a public place; tell someone close where you are going and with whom - share the trip link with them. 6. Stay independent - keep your own way back and a financial reserve. 7. Something feels off? Report the trip or profile (the report button is on every page), and you can block a user. Trust your gut - you never owe anyone anything.

Check their profile: ratings and reviews from past trips, the number of organised trips, tenure on TripBuddy and how complete the profile is (photo, bio, linked social media). The more traces of a real person, the better. When in doubt - message them before signing up.

The costs module is for the crew's informational settlement: you log expenses and the app calculates who owes whom. You transfer money between yourselves - TripBuddy does not process payments and takes no commission.

You decide - profile settings let you choose what is public (age, city, ratings, trip history...). Private notes, personal costs, checklists and your places map are always yours only. See the privacy policy for details.

Every trip and profile page has a report button - reports go straight to moderation. You can also block a user (they won't see your profile or message you). For urgent matters write to [email protected].

Click "Post your trip", describe where and when you're going, set the number of spots and group composition. Approve requests in the organiser panel; the crew gets a shared chat, trip plan, checklists and costs. Takes 2 minutes.
